Strategic discovery project in order to:

  • develop a long-term point of view on “personalization” in the context of shopping fashion

  • discover the opportunities for the CX

  • enable the vision of Zalando to deliver a personal and relevant store experience unique for each of the 30 + million customers

Role

As the principal product designer of the project, I had both vertical and horizontal roles.

Vertically, I drove the entire project in sprints (of 1-2 months) in collaboration with stakeholders from ideation to delivering an ideal customer journey with opportunity areas.

Horizontally, I followed through with:

  • guiding teams to explore further the defined opportunity areas through smaller initiatives e.g personalized recommendations based on your purchases

  • jumping in to steer some of them e.g product recommendations roadmap definition

    thought leadership by defining personalization design principles and activating them across the organisation (internal training, medium publications…)
